Collins, Max Allan

A very productive American multitasker, known primarily as a crime author, born in Muscatine in Iowa. With the exception of a few years as a student, he has remained faithful to the town of his birth all his life, and he still lives there. He attended Muscatine Community College 1966–68, and then studied, among other things, Art at the University of Iowa in Iowa City 1968–72. In 1968 he married Barbara Jane Mull, who is now also a writer. They have a son, Nathan.
