Fox, Candice

Australian crime-fiction writer and teacher, born and raised in Bankstown, which is close to Sydney where she now lives. She herself says that she had a happy childhood and youth, albeit in a somewhat odd family: her father worked as a prison guard, while his wife took care of children from families with social problems. So Candice Fox grew up with a row of different adoptive and foster siblings and got to know about conditions in prisons.
