Lagercrantz, David

David Lagercrantz is a Swedish author and journalist born in Solna and brought up there and in Drottningholm, both near Stockholm. He attended the Kungsholmen upper-secondary school and read philosophy and theology at university before transferring to the University of Gothenburg Department of Journalism, Media and Communication in the 1980s. After graduation he worked, among other things, at Sundsvalls Tidning, and in 1988 he became a tabloid crime reporter first at Kvällsposten and later at Expressen. He has been a freelance journalist and author since 1993. He has also lectured on the subject of creative writing.
