Liffner, Eva-Marie

Eva-Marie Liffner is a Swedish author and journalist born in Gothenburg and raised in Frölunda in the 1950s, where she inherited her mother’s love of books. When she finished school she worked at Swedish Customs and then at the Gothenburg public library. Before becoming a journalist and literary critic she studied archaeology and intellectual history with a view to post-graduate studies. She has been described as an author that borrows extensively from the Romantic tradition and an original voice in Swedish contemporary letters.
