Wright, Laurali R.

Canadian crime-fiction writer and journalist. She was born as Laurali R. (Rose) Appleby in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in Canada, and grew up there and in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Already as a baby, she was given the nickname ‘Bunny’, and came to be called that all her life. When she was 16, her father got a teaching position at a Canadian military college in West Germany, and the family settled in Hemer in North Rhine-Westphalia. She went to an upper secondary school in the neighbouring town, Soest, and matriculated in 1956.
